M-EZY is the professional name of emerging independent hip-hop artist Michael Rice. The New England rapper made his solo professional recording debut in 2018 with the single “Weekend Thing”. However, regular readers of The Static Dive know him as one half of the Hustle Work Grind production team. Founded by Michael and his brother Jerard (aka Rice), the label has been dropping fire original hip-hop for the past five years.
Since his debut, M-EZY has released three official solo singles and has worked with a number of other artists on Hustle Work Grind releases. He has connected with fans worldwide on popular tracks like “Zoot” and “Pressure”. His latest song is already poised to be his most successful solo track to date.
“Still My Wave” is the brand new single from M-EZY, released worldwide via all major streaming services on April 7, 2023. Ambient synths and chiming arpeggios open the track as the beat drops on a downtempo hip-hop groove. Subterranean 808 bass tones rumble the floor. On the mic the rapper drops a melodic freestyle anthem about rising above the haters.
