Merchants of Disaster return with the sophomore single from their forthcoming debut LP. Regular readers of The Static Dive will remember the band from their March debut “Devil In Disguise“. That track introduced a hard rocking international supergroup with an impressive pedigree.
The group is the brainchild of guitarist, songwriter and producer Zachary Merchant. It all started at a Steven Adler concert. Zach met Steven’s lead vocalist Ari Kamin by chance, during a set break. The two became fast friends. Before long they were writing songs. Soon they were joined by Ryan (Ryno) Osborn (bass), Mike Finucane (drums), and Rob Lundgren (backing vocals). Merchants of Disaster was born.
“Out of Control” is the brand new single from Merchants of Disaster, released worldwide via all major streaming services on May 5, 2023. The track opens with a cryptic spoken word intro. Zach’s guitar rumbles beneath Ari’s ominous warning before the beat drops on a high-octane riff-fueled rocker. Kamin delivers an arena-worthy performance in his signature metal howl. Osborn and Finucane bring the thunder as Merchant drops some smoking syncopated riff mayhem through the verse, and then shreds his solo in the bridge.
