Farrelly Drops Rebellious Indie Protest Anthem

farrelly

We first heard from Liam Farrelly in April, upon the release of his international solo recording debut single “Somewhere in Uvalde“. That song introduced a veteran independent singer, songwriter, and guitarist from Australia. After playing in a number of bands for over two decades, he launched his solo career during COVID lockdowns.

With a sound inspired by alternative rock icons like Nirvana and The Cure, Farrelly makes heartfelt singer-songwriter rock & roll. He tackles important and sometimes very difficult subjects. And he does so from an unclouded ‘everyman’ perspective.

“Heroes of the Day” is the brand new single from Farrelly, released worldwide via all major streaming services on October 27, 2023. Recalling the protest-rock angst of the iconic Clash, a punk rock ensemble comes in swinging, as the track opens on a defiant fist-pumping rhythm. On the mic, Liam offers a rebellious indie-pop anthem for the working woman and man.
