“Turing Test” is the latest single from Kele Fleming, released worldwide via all major streaming services on October 31, 2024. The song’s title refers to a thought experiment that assesses a machine’s ability to exhibit human-like intelligence. The track is both an examination of reality and a tribute to iconic mathematician Alan Turing, for whom the test is named.

“He was a gay man living in a time when being homosexual was illegal in the UK. He was punished and persecuted by the state for being who he was."

On the track, Kele and crew lay down a mellow organic groove featuring an arrangement of bass, drums, piano, guitars and various other stringed instruments. On the mic the singer echoes the ethereal altos of alt-pop pioneers like Kate Bush and Elizabeth Fraser of Cocteau Twins as she offers a dreamy meditation on the nature of reality, consciousness, and identity.
