M///ND•CRVFT is the latest cinematic phonk masterpiece from SxR LÜCÏFËR. Regular readers of this blog know SxR LÜCÏFËR well. Together, he and I (The Static Dive) are the House of Static production team and record label. We featured his single Demons Come in January.
Dark ambient arpeggios introduce M///ND•CRVFT, haunting the edges of the mix. An ominous voice informs the listener of his intent for mind control. The beat drops, and we enter a high-speed, neon-lit world of syncopated beats and mind-altering mixes.
Although he has worked on numerous projects and under various monikers, in 2023 the musician merged his public persona (in both music and on the streets of LA) with his online gaming identity. Long before that, he achieved legendary status on the virtual streets of the online racing game, Need For Speed.
In recent months, SxR LÜCÏFËR has dropped a string of releases with direct ties to Need for Speed. He has praised his fellow SxR crew members and trolled foes, and dropped a catalog of bangers in the process. On M///ND•CRVFT, the digital prankster taunts cheaters with an inside-joke nickname and a beat to raise the dead.
