Regular readers are well acquainted with Da-Mind. He is James Bussey, a Hip-hop artist, producer and businessman from Atlanta, Georgia. He first appeared on The Static Dive in July of last year upon the release of his single “No Drama,” and then again in March of this year with the single “Beautiful.” Since 2016, Bussey has produced a steady string of successful singles and videos. With a classic flow and modern production techniques he has forged his own unique sound.
“My Best Life” is the latest single from Da-Mind, released worldwide to all major streaming services on October 29, 2021. The track rolls on a slow and low Trap groove. Deep bass tones rumble the low end as analog synths play the song’s central melody. The sound lends a classic retro Synthwave vibe to the tune. Choral vocal samples play the main chord progression, giving the track a dramatic mood. James enters the mix with his laid-back Southern vibe, rhyming about his high rolling life in his distinct old-school style
