Dyno Project Ponders Free Will & The Scheme

dyno project

The Static Dive has been lucky enough to follow the Dyno Project from its inception. The project is the new collaborative solo endeavor from industry veteran Bob (Dyno) DiNozzi. For decades Dinozzi has worked as a session musician in studios and on stages around the world. The Boston native has played Jazz in Rio, Blues in Britain and Rock & Roll in Beantown.

Since April of this year, Dyno Project has released a string of originals penned by Bob and performed by some of the top names in Boston’s legendary music scene. The group has produced funky 70’s grooves (“Dyno’s Gumbo“), Smooth Jazz (“Consolation“) and bluesy songbook crooners (“The Sum of My Days“).

“The Scheme” is the latest single from Dyno Project, released worldwide to all major streaming services on December 10, 2021. On the new track, DiNozzi digs into the sound of classic Broadway. The emotional and theatrical piano/vocal ballad finds lead vocalist Paul R. Rose pondering nothing less than the meaning of life in this melancholy soliloquy.

In a beautifully soulful tone and showing impressive range, Rose questions free will and humanity’s place on the spiritual plane as he sings, “Will we go on, like some spiritual song? Or is it just the scheme of our days?” As the song progresses the ensemble grows to include bass, drums, guitar and lush cinematic strings.
