Doug Cash – So High In Love

Doug Cash has been making music for over thirty years. In that time, the Sacramento, California singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist has delivered a sizable catalog of work. Unbound by genre specifications, DC produces music in whatever style suits the song, be it Pop, Hip-hop, Rock or Folk. He currently has over 1.5 Million plays and can be heard on radio stations in South America, Russia, and Sweden.

Recently Doug Cash has released a new ‘Early Years’ series of videos to highlight key singles from across his many albums. Regular readers of The Static Dive will remember his tracks “Emotional Treason” and “Locust.” On January 1, 2022 he delivered the new video for his track “So High in Love.” Available on YouTube and all major streaming services, the song was originally released on the album “44DD.”

An upbeat acoustic guitar and drum groove opens the track. Soon a funky and melodic bass line enters the mix and the track takes off on a Dave Wakeling-style 80’s Ska/Pop groove. Some bluesy Rock lead guitar and a healthy dose of saxophone complete the English Beat/General Public vibe. Meanwhile, Doug Cash sings a lighthearted love song as he tries to convince his girl that he’s the one.
