KUILL Delivers Powerful Meatloaf Tribute

KUILL
Kuill

We first heard from UK singer Kuill Cameron in May of 2020 upon the release of his single “I See How it Is.” That song introduced us to an elusive Pop singer with a powerhouse voice and an air of mystery. After years of working as a singer and songwriter for top artists, he took a step back from the music business. Although he had achieved notable success and notoriety, he was not fulfilled as an artist. A reinvention was in order.

The Yorkshire native retreated from the spotlight to focus solely on the music. Kuill was born. For two years he worked on his craft, sharing the progress with his loyal Patreon supporters. Through much of that time he remained completely anonymous, even choosing to cover his face in public photos. Along the way he released 9 singles to major streaming platforms. In addition to his debut, regular readers of The Static Dive will remember his tracks “Man on the Moon” and “Party Soldier.”

On March 17, 2022 the British singer returned with his first new music of 2022, a cover of the 1978 Meatloaf classic “Two Out of Three Ain’t Bad.” Meatloaf died in Nashville, Tennessee on the evening of January 20, 2022 at the age of 74, reportedly due to COVID-19 complications although no official cause of death was released. Kuill pays tribute to the legendary vocalist with a deeply soulful rendition of the famous breakup song. Accompanied by a minimalist arrangement of piano, strings and sparse backing vocals, the singer delivers an impeccable performance that builds from a broken whisper to a powerful climax.

He is preparing to release his debut album ‘Changing Faces’ in late 2022. Follow him on Instagram and get in the loop.
