Lola Adanna is a multi talented singer, songwriter, dancer and actor from New York City. Regular readers of The Static Dive will remember her 2020 singles “Get Close” and “Lockdown,” a collaboration with La’Ron. Those tracks introduced a versatile and soulful singer who is equally adept at Pop, R&B and Hip-hop.
Over the years she has performed in musical theater productions and toured the world with Inspirational/Gospel Funk band, The Supreme Queens. Back then she was known as Aisha J. Shortly after the release of those early singles, the singer emerged with a brand new moniker and quickly unveiled a full catalog of work. She signed with NYC label ‘Too Nice Productions’ and debuted with the 9-song collection ‘Unraveled’ in 2020. The 8-track ‘Lola Adanna Day’ followed in 2021.
“Purple Hypnotic” is the brand new single and video from Lola Adanna, available worldwide on all major streaming services. Produced by ‘Leeky on the Beat’ (founder of Too Nice Productions), the track opens on some smooth R&B keys as Lola steps to the mic. Soon the beat drops a classic disco groove and the singer delivers some sultry Donna Summer-style Soul. The song’s video features two young women who escape the troubles of their own lives to join Lola as dancers in her Purple Hypnotic fantasy.
