We first heard from Embodied Havoc in February of 2021 upon the release of his single “Evil Deeds” in 2021. Back then he was known as Veridical. He had launched his musical career a year earlier with the EP Crypt. That record introduced a Texas-based rapper, songwriter and producer with a musically and lyrically inventive Hip-hop vibe.
Last year he changed his name to Embodied Havoc. Since his debut, the prolific creator has dropped a total of six singles and two EPs. He has connected with tens of thousands of Hip-hop fans around the world with tracks like “The Climb” and “Who Am I.” He creates a unique Alt/Hip-hop sound with live instrumentation and clever rhymes that mix social commentary and personal observations with a healthy dose of irreverent humor.
“Down On Me” is a recent single from Embodied Havoc, available worldwide via all major streaming services. The track opens with the rapper noodling on guitar and looking for his empty wallet. Organic bass and drums enter the mix to complete the trio. Embodied Havoc steps to the mic with a wild, strange and NSFW tale of an unusual romantic encounter. The track features some cool musical deviations, like the funky little synth riff in the chorus and a cool bit of psychedelic electric guitar later in the song.
