Lola Adanna is back with another timeless and sexy funk jam. Regular readers of The Static Dive have been following the emerging singer/songwriter’s career since way back in 2020. Back then was known as Aisha J, but soon afterward debuted her sultry disco-queen alter-ego.
Signed with New York City’s Too Nice Productions, Lola Adanna works with label owner and producer Leeky on the Beat to create a wild mix of modern EDM bangers and classic soul and dance grooves. In April the team dropped the dreamy disco track “Purple Hypnotic.” Now Lola is back with an infectious r&b/funk joint.
“D.D.M (Diary of a Dream Man)” is the brand new single from Lola Adanna, released worldwide via all major streaming services on August 5, 2022. On the track, an electric bass guitar rides a smooth wave of disco riffs over a downtempo after-hours groove. Lola Adanna steps to the mic with a sultry ode to the title character, wherever he may be. A classically trained and soulful singer, she maintains her own distinct sound while making subtle stylistic nods to everyone from Diana Ross to Prince.
