Bobby Wallisch Jr’s Anthem For The Forgotten

bobby wallisch jr

Bobby Wallisch Jr is an Austrian singer, songwriter, guitarist, author and professor. Regular readers of The Static Dive will remember his band Acid.Prof and their recent singles “Paula” and “The Muddy Waters of Time“. Both with the group and as a solo artist, Bobby creates modern Indie Rock with strong sonic and philosophical flower power vibes.

Born in Vienna in 1966, growing up Bobby Wallisch Jr studied Greek and Latin history and literature. Later he became a multilingual world-traveling author and a lecturer at the University of Vienna. Throughout his academic adventures, Bobby played guitar. A few years ago he started recording the songs born of his travels.

“Hold On (Remix)” is the latest single from Bobby Wallisch Jr, released worldwide via all major streaming services on September 23, 2022. Originally released at the height of the pandemic in July 2020, the song is a raw and emotional shoutout to anyone suffering in the world, whatever their troubles may be.

A grungy trio bangs out a slow ballad that lands stylistically somewhere between Neil Young’s Crazy Horse and Lou Reed’s New York. Bobby Wallisch Jr steps to the mic like a garage rock Leonard Cohen and offers his shoulder to all those with tears.

"For all of you who got it wrong. Never lucky, never strong. For you who just won't carry on. This is for you, this is your song."
