Dan Cody is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist who made his solo debut in 2020. The Boston native has appeared on these pages previously, upon the release of his recent singles “I Wanna Know” and “Good As Gold“. Those records introduced The Static Dive readers to a multi-talented musician and producer with a knack for crafting infectiously catchy guitar-based indie-pop/rock nuggets.
A veteran of numerous bands, Dan Cody has entertained crowds throughout the Northeast for years. Eventually, he grew weary of following the artist’s visions of others and embarked on a solo musical journey. In the three years since dropping his debut EP Long Distance Line he has released ten singles and connected with fans worldwide.
“Wrapped in My Arms” is the brand new single and video from Dan Cody, released worldwide via all major streaming services on October 31, 2023. Trading his signature Rickenbacker electric guitar for a flat top, Dan shifts gears a bit from his usual upbeat indie-rock vibe on the melancholy torch song heartbreaker. On the mic, Dan sings of love, loss, and longing as ethereal organ chords paint the periphery.
