haris cizmic

Haris Cizmic has been making music on the world stage since the 90s. That’s when he moved his popular hard rock band AXA from their home in Sarajevo to rock Motor City, in the United States. The group would eventually change their name to INGRAY and would find success in the Detroit area, and beyond. Haris has since relocated back to Bosnia.

In the decades since, Haris Cizmic has built a successful career as a multimedia professional. He has remained active in music as well, composing for various film productions. Inspired by the unexpected downtime of the pandemic, he launched a brand new solo project. Regular readers will remember his original music video short films “Romantic Cowboy vs. Space Aliens” and “Like A Phoenix in The Sun“.

“Psychopomp ” is the latest single & video from Haris Cizmic, released worldwide via all major streaming services on December 28, 2022. The track is a cover of a 1997 hit by the Canadian progressive rock band, The Tea Party. In Cizmic’s hands, it is a slow and dark electro-metal head-trip.

As the track opens, gothic strings meet a hard electronic beat. A live bass guitar provides a subterranean flow for the singer and his operatic backing vocalists deliver their dark tale of love and death. The song’s video provides a perfectly surreal and nightmarish visual complement to the song’s dark and moody theme.
